BusyBox is a software application that provides many standard Unix tools, much like GNU’s (but more capable) GNU Utilities. BusyBox is designed to be a small executable file for use with the Linux kernel, which makes it ideal for use with embedded devices. He has called himself “The Swiss Army knife of embedded Linux”. It is mentioned in the new book XDA-Developers “Android Hacker Toolkit for XDA developers: the complete guide for rooting, ROMs and themes”
